Italgi was established in Santa Margherita Ligure (Genova) on the italian riviera in 1985 by a group of young designers joined by a great passion for the traditional italian cuisine.
The top management of the company came from a technical background, so since the beginning all our efforts have been devoted to the development of high quality new machines, instead of marketing existing products.
The first products where pasta machines of relatively small production, and they were sold mainly locally.
From 1992 Italgi began to set up a few offices in other countries and a distribution network that is now branched worldwide.
The Research and development department has always played a central role in the life of the company.
Improving our existing machines with new technologies and materials or designing new ones is our everyday job.
Our goal is to use technology to enable everybody, everywhere in the world to make the better pasta or cappucino in the simplest way.
Every component of each product, including the electronic boards and the software is designed in-house by our team, and therefore under our direct control.
