HACH LANGE was born in 2004 when Dr. Bruno Lange joined forces with HACH, an American company specialising in electro and photochemistry. The expertise of these two companies is now combined, benefitting you, our customers!

That's not all, our company is continuing to grow and already has 22 subsidiaries around the world, including branches across Europe, China and the USA.

The company In addition to offering practical solutions for waste water, process water and drinking water, we also focus on sustainability in the field of water analysis. Their have been able to make significant reductions in the quantity of raw materials used for their cuvette test over the last few years. Their also offer a disposal service for our cuvettes — this scheme has been protecting the environment since 1978. While reagents were simply collected and sorted back then, they are now recycled in our specially built environment centre in Düsseldorf.

Hach's system Real Time Controls (RTC) olutions are complete off-the-shelf systems that adjust treatment processes in real time, keeping your facility compliant while reducing treatment costs. Controlling your process has never been so simple.

The system Real Time Contorls (RTC-P) System optimises chemical phosphorus removal by adjusting chemical dosing in real time through the continuous measurement of phosphate concentration and flow, allowing you to maintain consistent effluent phosphorus values and enhance your chemical phosphorus control system for unprecedented chemical savings.

The system Real Time Controls (RTC-N) system optimises nitrification processes by adjusting DO concentration in real time through continuous measurement of ammonium load, allowing you to maintain consistent effluent ammonium values and enhance your DO control system for unprecedented energy savings. Designed specifically for continuously-aerated biological wastewater treatment plants, the system Real Time Contorls (RTC-N) uses both an open and closed loop controller for optimal aeration control based on your desired effluent ammonium set-point.

The system Real Time Controls (RTC-N/DN) system, designed specifically for oxidation ditches and sequencing batch reactors, optimises nitrogen elimination by determining the optimal times for nitrification and denitrification based on the continuous measurement of ammonium and nitrate concentrations.

Sludge thickening and dewatering processes have never run so smoothly. Use the system Real Time Controls (RTC-ST and RTC-SD) systems to control polymer dosing in real time, helping you significantly reduce your polymer dosing costs while also increasing your biogas yield and reducing maintenance and guess work running your sludge processing technologies.

Cuvette materials can be used in all sorts of ways after recycling, including in the production of glass wool for the construction materials industry, plastic canisters and broom bristles. We accept around 350 metric tonnes of returned reagents and packaging materials every year and recycle approximately 70% of this,  which earned us the German Sustainability Award in 2009.
