The Interfood & Drink is a showcase for all kinds of food processing and packaging machines, materials, systems and products in one place. The exhibition provides the opportunity to meet senior buyers and decision makers from all facets of the industry and get informed about the latest technologies of the market.

The exhibitions were attended by leading Bulgarian companies - producers, representatives, distributors of food, drinks, equipment and technologies. There were collective participations presenting Bulgarian meat processors, dairy processors, wine producers, processors of fruits and vegetables, organic producers. There were also collective trade fair participations from Italy, Hungary, Moldova and China, and for the companies from the last two countries, that was the first participation at the international specialized exhibitions. The embassies of Argentina, South Africa and Poland presented producers of wines and foods.

The visitors had the opportunity to try traditional Bulgarian dishes, absorbed by the atmosphere of the most up-to-date culinary art, brought by the first Balkan carving contest in Bulgaria.

For the first time this year, Italy was a country partner of the Interfood & Drink exhibition and on this occasion the Laboratorio del Gusto Italiano familiarized the audience with the tasting quality, culture and style of Italian food and the secrets of the chefs. Admirers of healthy lifestyle and organic products managed to obtain valuable advices from specialists.

Topical issues for businesses and manufacture served as an occasion for plenty of business contacts, business forums, presentations of European projects, conferences, scientific meetings, discussions, presentations, tastings and demonstrations.

The traditional contests for each edition of the international specialized exhibitions, such as the Gold Medal and Diploma Contest and the Consumer Contest, brought many emotions to the businesses - in the last exhibition day there were awarded manufacturers with the most original and high-quality market products. That was the moment for announcing the names of the lucky winners of the poll for visitors - they won useful and attractive prizes.
