ESPERA is an international operating,
medium-d company with a worldwide sales organisation represented by
subsidiaries and distributors.
We develop, produce and sell fully
automatic machines for product labelling of pre-printed or just in time printed
labels by thermal direct or thermal transfer print. ESPERA is one of the
worldwide market leaders for weigh price labelling equipment for prepacked
food.
Nearly 90 years ago Heinrich Sporkhorst founded
his "Kontroll- und Schnellwaagenfabrik" ESPERA. The shop scales, which did not
show the weight only but also the price, have been manufactured with a lot of
innovation.
After the war in 1953 Gustav Korthäuer bought the
company with 50 employees and set the course to success. The modern,
illuminated dial balance could not only reach the performance level but even
surpass it. But new marketing and selling ways came up e.g. self-service in the
super market and these ways required modern and innovative systems. Thus a
feverish development started. A central point was the diodes and transistor
technique that has been brand new in those days.
The newest development of ESPERA is characterised by the
tendency to a complete automation for all working processes in weighing,
labelling, printing, transporting and sorting. Our machine's heart is ESMS, the
intelligent ESPERA management system, which grants in addition to the control
of the machines and the label design also the connection to ERP systems. The
development never stops: ESPERA has proved this by the multi roller printer and
the C-Labeller, two machines developed to fulfil the market's requirements.
Following the family tradition Dr. Marcus Korthäuer took over the
management in 2009. ESPERA is represented worldwide and sets again and again
new benchmarks for the branch by its innovations.
