Tropical Food Machinery SRL (www.tropicalfood.net) is an international company with headquarter and workshop in Busseto (Parma, Italy) and Brazil (Pouso Alegre, Minas Gerais state). It controls two subsidiary industries for tropical fruit processing in northern Brazil, Flora and Mirca.

Tropical Food Machinery owes its thirty-year reputation to the design and construction of complete plants for the processing of tropical fruit, European fruit and tomatoes.

It has always chosen to cover the market at 360°, developing production lines suitable for both small producers and large industries (the production capacity of its plants ranges from 200 Kg/h of processed product up to 20 tons).

The company was born from the experience of Romano Orsi, former founder of the Brazilian company Tecnifood, who in the early nineties returned to the Po Valley bringing with him the knowledge accumulated in the industrial processing of tropical fruit. Soon Tropical Food Machinery became a point of reference in the sector, and in 1999 the Brazilian branch was inaugurated to better cover the international demand.

The realization and commissioning of Tropical Food Machinery plants has no intermediaries: the supply of "turnkey" lines capable of managing the entire production cycle of the product, from the first processing to the final filling, ensures a dedicated design capacity, a high-quality control of the processes and an unparalleled speed of implementation. This approach also guarantees direct and constant attention to all the processes of assistance to the plants and to the realities already in operation.

The existence of the two facilities, the Mirca and Flora companies, also serve as an example of production reality that can be visited by interested buyers, as well as a direct test bench for all new production, tested in a real industrial situation.

Today Tropical Food Machinery is able to provide a solid and articulated range of machinery and production lines for processing different types of fruit, its research continues by optimizing the production processes already established and exploring new technologies for future realities and products.



The company's production plan includes:

 

Multi-fruit Processing Lines: for tropical and Mediterranean fruits, with seeds or stones and of different s, complete with extraction, refining, pasteurizing and aseptic filling plants.

Pineapple Juice Extraction Lines: with exceptional yield and reduced energy consumption, a reference point in the world market.

Banana Puree Processing Lines: thanks to an innovative technological cycle and a patented automatic peeling system, we ensure the high quality of the final product.

Tomato Processing Lines: for hot-break and cold-break processing, applicable also for tropical fruit processing without major changes.

Multi-effect and Under-vacuum Concentration Lines: suitable for processing products with high fiber content and high viscosity, ensuring a gentle treatment for thermolabile products.

Sterilization and Aseptic Filling Lines: we supply a wide range of models with different s and types of products processed. They are suitable for the production of natural or concentrated juice, purees, jams for local or international market.

Our choice of dedicating ourselves to smaller fringes of the market has not only economic motivations. The supply of plants with low production capacity to small processing companies, farmers, associations, allows us to support local needs such as the reduction of unemployment rate and education to avoid waste of the natural resources of the territory.

These realities, with a very small investment can offer an artisanal production of products such as juices, jams, fruit in syrup: from this come our Multi-fruit Lines "Mini-Industry" and "Line 100", dedicated to the processing of different types of products in small spaces and with low capacities, but with a very high technological impact for the user.

Taking small growers and producers towards a “cutting-edge technology” and with a reduced management price has a remarkable effect on the social fabric: a 250 Kg/h line gives work to several hundreds of farmers coming from depressed areas of the world. Encouraged to use their own resources and raw materials for the production of refined items, Tropical Food Machinery opens up new markets for them, no longer restricted, as for fresh fruit, by a Shelf Life that is too short: products that can no longer be used for fresh produce are effectively utilized, increasing yields while reducing food waste.
