The company ALCO-FOOD-MACHINES GMBH was founded in 1977 by merchants Heinz and Gertrud Algra .They opened up their first office in their private house from which they sold machinery for the food industry on the German market.
The company grew very fast so that after several moves a new plant had to be built in 1985. This plant has been considerably expanded in 1990.
For several years the company ALCO-FOOD-MACHINES GMBH & Co. KG has been selling its own machinery program worldwide, out of Germany via fix agents in the appropriate countries.
alco has to be understood as a family company. Most modern technology for quality products is the aim of the company. Function and quality are the main aspects as well as consistent research and development which led to alco`s success.
