Spray drying enables the transformation of the product from a fluid state into dried particulate form by spraying the product into a hot drying medium. The inlet product can be in solution, suspension, dispersion, emulsion and gel form. The dried product can be in the form of powders, granules or agglomerates depending on the physical and chemical properties of the product, the dryer design and the required final powder properties.
