Founded in 1960 through the vision of Mario Cavanna, Cavanna is a leading Italian company specializing in the design and manufacture of complete packaging lines. With four production facilities — two in Italy, one in Brazil, and one in the United States — and 14 service hubs worldwide, Cavanna is a trusted global partner for integrated packaging systems. These include solutions for product collection, portioning, primary and secondary packaging, and boxing, all delivered as turnkey systems.
To date, Cavanna has installed more than 6,000 machines and lines for over 900 customers and holds over 100 registered patents. Approximately 65% of our packaging lines are dedicated to the bakery and confectionery sector—including cookies, toast, bars (cereal, protein, sports, etc.), cakes, bread, and chocolate—while the remaining 35% serve markets such as snacks, Ready-to-Eat products, coffee capsules, and pharmaceuticals.

From pre-packaging flow management to post-packaging handling, we utilize advanced technologies such as 3D vision systems and line simulation tools to enhance both machine construction and operational performance.
Our dedicated Packaging Design Service Center allows us to test new packaging materials and create solutions tailored to our clients’ needs. Over our 65-year history, we have developed more than 2,500 customized packaging applications across various product categories.
Cavanna also provides robust after-sales support with a team of specialized technicians available for on-site and remote assistance via our C-Connect platform. This service is further enhanced by interactive catalogs, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) monitoring, and smart troubleshooting tools.
In 2004, Cavanna established its Brazilian subsidiary with a clear mission: to manufacture Italian-designed technology locally while transferring both technological expertise and company values. This strategic decision has yielded exceptional results, offering customers access to advanced European packaging technology with the logistical and economic advantages of a local supplier. Since its inception, Cavanna Brazil has delivered over 200 high-tech machines and automatic lines featuring advanced automation, vision systems, and robotics.
In 2024, we expanded our product portfolio with the launch of the EASY RUN platform—a compact and user-friendly flowpack machine offering an exceptional balance of quality and affordability. Looking Ahead:
To address growing demand and evolving packaging trends, Cavanna Brazil will soon begin production of the WRAP-AROUND series—compact boxing systems that use glued cardboard wrapping, eliminating the need for adhesive tape and reducing material waste. The machines will be offered in various models, tailored to product and box specifications.
