Spreadable creams are food products consisting of a base, such as butter or milk cream, and one or more additional ingredients, such as sugar, fruit, chocolate or hazelnuts.

Spreadable creams are a very popular food product, both in Italy and in the world and their production requires the use of specially designed filling, capping and labelling lines.

PMR in its 50 years of activity has designed and built many of them, also dealing directly with installation and start-up.

These plants generally consist of a number of components, including:

A load tank: contains the spreadable cream to be filled in containers.
A pump: transfers the spreadable cream from the load tank to the filler.
• A filling system: the dosing station fills the containers with spreadable cream in a precise and uniform way. The system is implemented according to the consistency to be dosed, the quantity and the necessary productivity.
• A capping station: the system caps the containers after they have been filled. The station can handle screw caps, twist-offs or caps with induction seal.
• A labeling line: it is an automatic machine that applies the labels on the jar and can be equipped with marking systems to print batch, expiration and barcode.

Filling, capping and labelling lines for spreadable creams can be used by companies of all sizes, from small artisan producers to large industrial producers and the advantages they can draw from them are many:

• Increasing production efficiency
• Better accuracy
• Better hygiene

The PMR RTE2U line, for example, is a complete equipment for the packaging of spreads in containers from 20 to 680ml, with a productivity around 1000 pcs/h.

The filling station is equipped with hopper with double heated wall, complete with level probe and agitator; the dosing takes place through 2 dosing nozzles and the jars once filled, through conveyor belt, reach the capping station with automatic twist off cap feeding and positioning via Pick & Place.

The line is complete with M3010TS labeling machine for upper application with seal smoothing, wraparound labelling of body label and high resolution ink-jet marker for printing barcodes and alphanumeric data.

This PMR line has been supplied with the predisposition to network connection and implementation of software for the remote production data management, as required by Industry 4.0 directives.
